Two More Clinton Supporters Switch to McCain-Palin

Two more Clinton supporters, Miguel Lausell and Luchy Secaira, have jumped off the donkey cart this week. Both are quite active as political organizers in the Latino community.  Miguel D. Lausell, one of Hillary Clinton’s Senior Political Advisers, and  Luchy Secaira, Clinton Delegate-at-Large, announced their support for Senator McCain and Governor Palin.

A life-long democrat, Mr. Lausell, in comments on Fox News, indicated Senator Obama has done nothing for Latino’s, and he also mentioned that women on Obama’s staff were paid $6,000 less than the men, while women on McCain’s staff were paid about $2,000 more than men.

While expressing his endorsement for McCain, Mr. Lausell said, “John McCain has a long record of reforming government and working across the aisle to achieve bipartisan results. His courageous leadership is exactly what we need in the White House, and I am convinced that John McCain is the right leader at the right time for our nation.”

Lausell has served as President and CEO of the Puerto Rico Telephone Company; Executive Director of the Puerto Rico Telephone Authority; and Undersecretary of the Department of the Treasury of Puerto Rico. He served on the National Finance Board of the Gore 2000 Committee and was a member of the Democratic National Committee’s Leadership 2000 Board.

RACE BAITER! Florida Democrat Alcee Hastings Attacks Palin

Washington, D.C. 9/23/2008

During a panel discussion hosted by the National Jewish Democratic Council, Florida Democratic Congressman Alcee Hastings, a member of the Congressional Black Caucus, told the group, “If Sarah Palin isn’t enough of a reason for you to get over whatever your problem is with Barack Obama, then you damn well had better pay attention. Anybody toting guns and stripping moose don’t care too much about what they do with Jews and blacks. So, you just think this through.”

First of all, it’s important to understand what race baiting means. Many Americans frequently hear the words, but perhaps don’t truly understand the meaning of the expression. Here’s a brief definition.

Race baiting is an act of using racially derisive language, actions or other forms of communication, to anger, intimidate or incite a person or groups of people, or to make those persons behave in ways that are inimical to their personal or group interests. This can also be accomplished by implying that there is an underlying race based motive in the actions of others towards the group baited, where none in fact exists.

Now, you make the call. is the Democratic Congressman Hasting a race baiter, or not?

At a time when America need to unite, democrats continue, in both words and deeds, to divide the nation along political, racial, religious, and gender lines.

A Pig in Lipstick or A Jackass with a Hoof in it’s Mouth?

Unbelievable! During a stump speech in Pennsylvania today, while attempting to discredit McCain and Palin as agents of change, Senator Obama said, “you know, you can put lipstick on a pig, but it’s still a pig”.  Is he losing his cool under the pressure? Was the remark a reference to Alaska’s Governor Sarah Palin, or just a coincidental statement by Senator Obama?

The comment doesn’t seem that coincidental since earlier in the day Democratic Congressman Russ Carnahan ripped Governor Palin’s resume during an introduction for Democratic VP candidate Joe Biden. Carnahan ended his introduction by stating “There’s no way you can dress up that record, even with a lot of lipstick”.

Perhaps the remarks from the Obama camp indicate an inability to deal with the soaring popularity of Alaska’s Governor Sarah Palin. Or maybe they’re just stumbling like a jackass with a hoof in it’s mouth.
