Donald Trump, Many Other Hillary Backers Switch to McCain-Palin

Another major backer of Hillary Clinton abandoned the Democratic party this week and joined the McCain posse. So far, many very prominent Hillary supporters have dismounted the Democratic donkey and tossed their saddles on the GOP elephant. Donald Trump is the latest prominent backer of Hillary Clinton to abandon the Democratic Party and endorse McCain.

Donald Trump announced on the Larry King show and Fox News that he is now endorsing the McCain/Palin ticket in the presidential race.

The list of top Democratic party supporters switching to the McCain-Palin ticket continues to grow.

Alma Sanford, the chair of the Tennessee Democratic Women’s Political
Action Committee and a highly respected member of the Democratic party for over 30 years recently vacated the Democrats. She said,  “It’s not my party anymore. They have put poison in the well, and have run the older women out of the party.”

Other top democrats that now back the McCain/Plalin ticket include: Senator Joe Lieberman, 2000 Democratic Vice Presidential candidate; Elaine Lafferty a former editor of Ms and Time magazines; Paul Mitchell mogul John Paul DeJoria and his wife, major supporters of the Democratic Party in Austin, Texas; Lynn Forester de Rothschild, a leading Member of the Democratic National Committee’s Platform
Committee, Democrats Abroad chapter, and a top Hillary Clinton
fundraiser; Mark Erwin, appointed to the OPEC Board of Directors by President Clinton in 1997; John Coale, a trial lawyer and fundraiser for both Bill and Hillary Clinton as well as as John Kerry; Brian Golden, Iraq War veteran and former Democratic state representative from Massachusetts; and Silverio “Silver” Salazar of the Salazar family, a political powerhouse in Colorado.

The only question left to ask is, who’s next?

Despite perceptions that Sen. John McCain has spent more time on the attack, Sen. Barack Obama aired more negative advertising last week than did the Arizona Republican, says a study released yesterday.

Seventy-seven percent of the Illinois Democrat’s commercials were negative during the week after the Republican National Convention, compared with 56 percent of the spots run by McCain.

“If we’re going to ask questions about, you know, who has been promulgating negative ads that are completely unrelated to the issues at hand, I think I win that contest pretty handily,” Obama said.

Thank you all for your intelligent choice. Obviously these prominent citizens have proven to all in the great country we live in that we have the right to CHANGE our minds.
PLEASE, to all, research your candidate. A great orator does not a great president always make.
    Warmly, Debbie
